I like to think I'm an independent woman. Not to brag but I have my own everything and can say I've acquired it all without the help of a man. It feels good to be able to buy what you need and pay your bills plus purchase some of your wants on your own. Take care of your kids, and fund exciting trips without having to ask anyone for assistance. My only problem with being independent is when you do find a man you fall for how do you submit yourself to him without giving up your independence?

I can't speak for all independent woman in this world but I can for a vast majority of us when I say we don't really want to be miss "I am independent" "I don't need you" we do it because we have to. I would love to have a man who can take care of me. Not really my wants but more of the needs. There are certain things I strongly believe is a man's responsibility ie. Car maintenance, yard work, and protection. It seems like now and days when a man meets a woman who "has her own" he feels he doesn't have to give anything. Why do I have to ask for things to be done? You know my oil needs to be changed, & tires rotated. C'mon son stop thinking that because it's been getting done prior to you that it will continue to get done. I think this is the reason most independent woman are single. They have the same standards as the broke women but live a better lifestyle because of their will to have more.

I'm not gonna front cus there's absolutely no future in fronting but there are times I wish I didn't have to work. Wish I had a man to work hard to take care of home. The home I reside, cook, and clean in. I could sit back and breed once a year. But... the cards weren't dealt to me that way. My ideal relationship would be 50-50. I do my part you do yours. I'm a female so I'll wear the apron your a man so you wear the pants. Is that asking for too much?

In 2K10 is being an independent woman really a gift, or is it a curse?

Well u can have a man but still hold ur own. I mean, when a woman relies soley on a man 2 take care of her, most men think that's an opportunity 2 do "as he pleases cause he pays the damn bills" nah nigga, u can do what I ask u 2 do. But keep in mind I don't need ya ass. Me, ima always be independent, but in the same breath ima keep Sponsor 2 allow me 2 stash my hard earnings. Be smart that's all.

    It's a GIFT!!!
It takes an intelligent person to think it's a gift as well. God Bless the child that's got his own.

It depends on the guy. For me...I'm grown.
I don't give a fugg about having to do everything. Hell I have no problem with a woman making more than me. I'm secure.

Doesn't make me any less of a man.

But there are a lot of dudes that has to be on top and calling all shots to feel like a man.
To each his own. My IQ is pretty high so hate it when a woman dumbs down to get a guy.

As a woman you should be looking for a man (not a boy) who is on your level. And if he is, there's really nothing to discuss. He's have your back for whatever you need him for.

Never look at it as a curse. Handle your biz-nass girl!
